  • How long will it take to replace my roof?

The duration of a roof replacement project varies based on factors such as weather conditions, roof size and height, and debris removal options. Typically, an average roof project is completed within 1-2 days. For a more accurate timeline specific to your project, we encourage you to contact us for a free estimate. After assessing your roof and providing a written estimate, we'll be able to offer a more precise project timeline.
  • How long will my roof last?

Most modern roofs come with manufacturer warranties ranging from 30 years to limited lifetime guarantees. Architectural shingles often carry 50-year warranties, while metal roofs typically offer 40-year or longer paint and product warranties. However, a roof's lifespan is as much dependent on proper installation as it is on material quality. Our experience shows that many roofs require replacement earlier than necessary due to improper installation. That's why we prioritize using high-quality materials and ensure our team is trained to install them according to manufacturer specifications.
  • How many estimates do I need?

While one estimate from a trusted contractor might suffice, we recommend obtaining 2-3 estimates for a comprehensive understanding of your roofing project's cost. When comparing estimates, consider factors beyond just the price. Ensure estimates are comparable in terms of materials, warranties, installation methods, and scope of work. Verify that the contractor is fully insured and their installers are properly trained. Look for detailed estimates that outline all project steps and specific materials to be used. Be wary of initially lower estimates that may incur additional costs later for 'add-ons' or 'upgrades'. While cost is important, it shouldn't compromise working with a reputable contractor with a proven track record.
  • How much will it cost to replace my roof?

The cost of a roof replacement depends on various factors including the roof's size, pitch, height, accessibility, number of faces, chosen roofing materials, condition of the underlying structure, and the number of existing roofing layers. To get an accurate cost for your specific project, we recommend scheduling a free assessment and estimate with our team. This will allow us to consider all relevant factors and provide you with a detailed and accurate quote.
  • What are architectural shingles?

Architectural shingles, also known as dimensional shingles, are currently the most popular type of roofing shingle. Their multi-layered construction results in a thicker, more robust appearance and allows for greater color variation. This design contrasts with the older, flatter 3-tab shingles, which offer less color variety. The difference between these two types of shingles is visually apparent, with architectural shingles providing a more textured and dimensional look to your roof.
  • What color roof should I choose?

Selecting a roof color is an important decision that should complement your home's existing color scheme. We're here to assist you in this process. We'll start by asking about your preferred color family, then provide sample boards of various shades within that range. If you're still undecided, we can direct you to local homes featuring the shingle colors you're considering, allowing you to see them applied in a real-world setting. Our goal is to help you find a roof color that enhances your home's overall appearance.
  • What is a roof maintenance program?

A roof maintenance program involves a thorough inspection of your home, business, or church roof. We use a comprehensive checklist to identify any existing or potential roof issues. Following the inspection, we provide you with a detailed report, including photographs of any problems discovered and a list of recommended repairs not covered by the maintenance program. We also include cost estimates for these suggested repairs. This process enables you, as the property owner, to make informed decisions about necessary roof maintenance and repairs.
  • Which is better? Shingle roof or metal roof?

The choice between a shingle roof and a metal roof depends on various factors. It's important to note that there are different types of metal roofs, and not all provide the long-term solution many seek. We don't recommend exposed-fastener metal roofs for structures with finished interiors. Instead, we suggest concealed-fastener (or 'standing seam') metal roofs. Both high-quality shingle roofs and standing seam metal roofs offer durability and low maintenance. Your decision may come down to aesthetic preference and budget considerations, as a standard standing seam metal roof typically costs about twice as much as a standard architectural shingle roof.
